Pawleys Island Christian Academy Admissions Policies
Admissions Procedure
- Request application via mail or download from website:
- Make an appointment to visit the school.
- Bring completed application including copies of immunization record, birth certificate, insurance card, custody papers (if applicable), most recent report card and standardized test scores, and bank account information for drafting purposes only. Application fee submitted with the completed application.
- Notification of acceptance and admission.
- Schedule a time for your child to take an entrance test for diagnostic purposes. Students with a current Stanford Achievement Test score sheet may be exempt from taking the test.
- Both parents attend the Parent Orientation meeting on August 16, 2010.
- Parents and students read the handbook thoroughly.
- Complete and sign the Parent Contract.
- Students complete and sign the Student Contract (fourth grade and above).
- All new admissions are probationary and are subject to review during the first semester.
PICA Financial Policy and Tuition Schedule for 2010-11
Registration Fee
$150.00 for first child and $100.00 for second child. $300.00 maximum for families with three or more children being enrolled. Refundable only if the school denies application.
Curriculum Fee
Preschool K3 & K4
$150 due no later than July 15, 2010
K5-4th Grade
$375 due no later than July 15, 2010
5th -8th Grade
$425 due no later than July 15, 2010
Curriculum fees may be paid by check at time of registration. Curriculum fees not paid prior to July 15th will be drafted from your account.
Testing
There is a $25 charge for first time students who are required to take an entrance exam.
Tuition
Members of PICC General Public
1st Child: $380/Month 1st Child: $420/Month
2nd Child: $350/Month 2nd Child: $380/Month
All other: $320/Month All other: $350/Month
Preschool: $210/Month Preschool: $220/Month
All tuition payments will be conducted via EFT (Electronic Fund Transfer). The transaction will be made on the 15th of each month for that month.
EFT drafts for tuition payments begin in August and end in May for ten month payment schedule, or May through June for an optional eleven month payment schedule. Half year or full year tuition may be paid by check to Pawleys Island Christian Academy. Full tuition paid at the beginning of the school year receives a 5% discount. A $35.00 charge will be added to your account for any NSF reports.
