Pawleys Island Christian Academy

2010/2011 Parent Contract/Covenant

A covenant is a binding agreement between two parties.  It signifies a solemn oath and sincere pledge of mutual respect and cooperation.  PICA covenants to provide the best it can for children in the way of curriculum, facilities, faculty, athletics, character development, and spiritual instruction.  PICA also pledges to do everything possible to keep to the vision and purpose that God has given to the leadership board.

As the legal parents/guardians of our children, we covenant to support PICA in its efforts in Christian education.  We agree that it is our responsibility to strive diligently toward the observance of the Parent/Guardian Contract/Covenant as God enables us by the power of the Holy Spirit.  If for some reason we become dissatisfied, we promise to handle the matter as privately and lovingly as possible.

Together, as a school and as parents/guardians, we pledge to submit our lives to one another in love, and to submit to God and His Word as our final authority.

  1. We have read the handbook  and agree to following and supporting the guidelines therein.
  2. We will regularly pray for PICA, the faculty and students.
  3. We will support and pray for the School Advisory Leadership Team.
  4. We understand and support the Dress Code Policy, Discipline Policy and the Tardy Policy.
  5. We will volunteer for duties and responsibilities for PICA when opportunities arise.
  6. We will be faithful to attend all parent functions at PICA.
  7. We will seek to resolve any conflict with privacy and love according to Matt. 18:15-24.  We will not spread criticism and negativism.
  8. We will be a positive reflection on PICA when in public.
  9. We understand our financial obligations to PICA.
  10.  We understand that PICA has the right to dismiss any student when either the student or parents/guardians do not cooperate with the policies of the school.
